For everyone who isn’t up to date on the latest Twitter buzz, the company made a huge announcement on their blog yesterday. Twitter is getting ready to launch a major new feature: the ability for members to create sharable lists of twitter users/accounts. Twitter members will be able to organize their lists however they want- by theme, idea, or subject etc, and then have them displayed on their account (members will also be able to make lists private).
In a nutshell, this feature will let you organize and manage all of your incoming tweets so you have a better idea of who you're following. This of course, allows you to categorize your tweets of interest. As an added social networking bonus, followers can search your public lists for accounts that they might be interested in following themselves.
From a Shopster member standpoint, this is a great feature because you can determine the types of people you follow, as well as indirectly, those who follow you. You can then send out targeted tweets to particular groups - messages that capture interest and keep followers engaged. Should be great.
